How 3PL pricing works

The 5 line items on every 3PL invoice.

Every 3PL charges across five categories. The only difference is which ones they publish and which ones they hide.

Receiving (inbound)

Cost of unloading inventory: flat rates for full containers, per pallet for pallet deliveries. Deliveries outside these specs are quoted.

Storage (monthly)

Charged per pallet, cubic foot, or bin. No steep Amazon-style aged penalty.

Pick & pack (outbound)

Cost per order with item-count tiers.

Value-added services

FBA prep, kitting, returns, inserts — priced per unit/action.

Shipping (pass-through)

Carrier charges at our negotiated rate. No markup (except 5% SFP fee).

Service-by-service pricing.

How you pay: FBA prep, kitting, and inbound receiving are charged to your card on file before the work starts, when you create the order or shipment. Multi-channel and SFP orders are charged to your card on file the moment they ship. Storage is billed at month-end.

Amazon FBA Prep

Per unit, FNSKU labeling and inspection included. The tier is set by your total units for the month: tell us your monthly forecast and orders are priced at that tier. At month-end we compare it with your actual total — if it lands in a more expensive tier, the difference is billed automatically; if a cheaper one, the difference is credited to your next invoice.

Receiving

Per unit by weight, putaway included. The weight tier uses the greater of actual weight or dimensional weight (L×W×H÷139). Unloading is a flat rate per full container or per pallet; anything outside the listed specs is quoted. Outbound cartons listed alongside.
